Surazeus Hermead

Surazeus came quite unexpected.

I sent a little DNA-sample to My Heritage and in return they keep sendning me distant relatives. It is really an amazing development, being able to use this technique as an ordinary person and for quite a low cost.

I have not contacted these new found relatives but one of them contacted me and I found that we did not only share a bit of DNA but also the interrest in writing.

Simon Seamount, with the nom de plume Surazeus Astarius, is a poet and I have here his amazing epic work Hermead.

Surazeus work contains no less than 126.000 verses about the great philosophers and scientists from long ago, like Pythagoras, Demokritos and Aristoteles. As a comparison, this equals in length almost 11 times the Odyssey.

Surazeus Hermead is an amazing piece of epic poetry. A guess the small piece of DNA that we share must contain the will of writing. However, as we ”talked” on messenger I felt that we have more incommon. The interrest for – everything. Sometimes you find yourself talking to a person about everything and nothing. I cannot explain better than that. Simon Seamount felt like such a person.

Hermead of Surazeus is an epic poem about the development of philosophy over 600 years in the lives and ideas of 26 of the greatest philosophers who contributed to the growth of civilization. This single volume edition presents in 126,680 lines of pentameter blank verse the tales of Hermes, Prometheus, Kadmos, Asklepios, Zethos Hesiodos, Thales, Anaximandros, Pythagoras, Herakleitos, Parmenides, Anaxagoras, Empedokles, Leukippos, Philolaos, Demokritos, Aristokles Platon, Aristoteles, Demetrios Phalereus, Epikouros, Arkhimedes, Ktesibios, Eratosthenes, Krates, Hipparkhos, Philodemos, and Lucretius.
